Sunroof Problems

1995 MK VIII LSC. Today my sunroof is not operating as it should. First, it will go to the rear up position and it will close and seal (this is good), however, when trying to open the sunroof it will only open about 1/2 inch and no further. It will close from this position. Any ideas/help! Thanks Tom

Did a search under General Tech and found the re-timed instructions. I guess I look in the wrong section. Thanks for your response. Tom
 
It needs to be aligned or adjusted. My 95 would do the same thing, but I would just move it towards the "close" position very slightly and then "open" again. This would free it up and make it work.
