Hey I was just woundering if anymore out there that owns a LS that has taken the in dash navigation system out of a newer LS and put it in a 2000?
I have the six disc CD in the glove box,If anyone could help or has done this i would really like to know how and what i need to do so,Thanks for all the help.

The factory navigation system uses very different wiring to the dash unit; the map/information DVD goes into a drive unit mounted under the package tray in the trunk, which must be wired in; the GPS satellite antenna must be wired in; the dash unit must be electronically linked to other modules in the OBDII network... It's definitely not plug'n'play!

This doesn't mean the switch is impossible. With enough time, patience, and money anything can be done, but you'd be better off to get a TomTom (I have one in the Continental and my wife loves it) or Garmin and stick it on the dash with the suction mount.

that would take a lot of work...plus the navi in the 03+ is 6 cd changer in the dash. You are much better of getting a pioneer n2 or a double din with a 7 inch screen or something plus it will be a dvd player as well and you can connect and amp for subwoofers if you wanted them

Thanks Frankie X and Rick E, I went to a audio shop buy my work and they told me for the money I should just put a 7'' screen in like rick said.So im thiking thats the way to go,But thanks for all the help.
