Sylvania SilverStar

Wanted to let y'all know I bought some SilverStars tonight for the new Honda. Coming from a guy who had HIDs until a week ago, these things are as close as you can get with a halogen bulb - well worth the $20/side. The fiancee has the digital camera in Iowa right now, so I can't post a before/after pic, but I did replace one and turn them on - the stock bulb looks ORANGE compared to the SilverStar.

So after helping Osram Sylvania with my 96 Mark and its HID capsules, now I'm subsidizing them again with SilverStars. Oh well.

Highly recommended. Gen1 owners w/o HIDs should check these out.

And yes, I know I need to change my sig - doing it now.

RE: Sylvania SilverStar

I put brand new headlamp housings in my 93 and use Silverstar bulbs in the low beams. The light output is very white and bright IMHO. A vast improvement over the old lamps which were very bad anyway. I sometimes get flashed with the low beams on and I never got flashed with the old lamps running high beams at night. Siverstars do work!

RE: Sylvania SilverStar

I installed the Silverstar bulbs a couple of months ago and noticed a big difference. Living in Lake Havasu City, AZ, there aren't a lot of street lights, so the road is lit up very nicely.
