Taking Video Off A Camcorder.

I have a dinosour vhs camcoder. The JVC GR-SXM300U, to my knowledge there isn't any output other than the tape. What I think I need to do is play the movie in my VCR and run the wires to my PC? What kind of device could I use to view or software do I need? Thanks.

I had the same analog tape piled up as well.

I bought a TV video card for $50 I think - that had an analog cable TV input on it. I plugged in the video cable from the VCR and recorded it all on my hard disk.

Does this card work in conjunction with a video card. I noticed it is PCI card not an AGP...

Yes. It is an add-in that supplies a TV tuner and video input. It is NOT hard wired to your computer monitor. The card's signal ends up at your video card for output.
