Test driving a '97 tomorrow-- what to look for?

Wow, haha. Three days after I got it, the up and down feature of the wheel doesn't work anymore. The telescoping does, and luckily though, I've already got the wheel where I like it, anyway. I'll post pics in the member rides forum on Friday or Saturday when I can wax it.
 
As you energize the up or down switch, try banging on the steering wheel fairly hard. It may work then. Mine worked like this for quite a while before I had it fixed.
 
Mine too, did this. Hold switch either up or down and bang wheel in that direction. Mine only worked a short time (4 weeks) before it gave up completely.

lastmrk & budpytko: Thank you so much! That worked flawlessly. Who would've thought that some muscle would be able to fix an electronic bug? I've turned the "easy entry" thing off, too, so hopefully it won't mess up again.
