Yesterday, I installed my B&M 70264 transmission cooler. The instructions in the technical help section were great. It is easy to mount the cooler according to these instructions. I didn't want to mount it against the AC condenser with the plastic ties. I hooked it up so that the fluid will go through the radiator cooler first and then the B&M cooler.
The cooler comes with an installation kit and I only needed an extra bolt/nut and another 4 ft. of fluid hose to hook up the other side. The 4' piece that comes with the kit is not long enough to hook up both sides.

Now, I am ready to tow in warm weather. In a couple of weeks I will be towing a uhaul to Alabama to my new contract job location.

Again, Thanks HOTLNC and Maples8!!!!! I very much appreciate the genius that went into the cooler support location. I would have never thought of the simple way of hooking up the lower end of the cooler.

I hope you do not experience any issues with the hose connections to the hard lines. I eventually re-did mine with barbed fittings available at bulkpart.com. When I installed the same in the Mark VII, I used the fittings and completed the install trouble-free in half the time.

The kit came with a barbed fitting that screwed into the lower radiator cooler connection. The other hose is pushed over the flared tube end and clamped. I'm sure neither will come off. The only thing I am a little worried about is the piece of transmission fluid hose I bought from Advance is softer and not as high quality as the hose supplied in the kit. Their is very little pressure on the hoses, so maybe it will be okay. It is something I will occasionally check though.

My kit came with 4 different fittings for the radiator connection. One of them was like the one in your picture in the lower right. However, I did not use an o-ring. It isn't leaking so I suppose it is okay.

After a few months operation, watch that connection that does not use the barbed connector. The hoses will harden given heat and time. Driving pressure can blow the hose right off of that flared end and pump expensive Mercon V onto the street.

It happened to me. I learned my lesson. Go barbed all the way!

The "O"-ring is required because the thread is a straight thread, unlike a tapered pipe thread. Most likely the "O"-ring was inside the radiator fitting. Mine was. When I received the new fittings from BulkPart, I was suprised to find "O"-rings in the package. A small mirror and flashlight showed me the "O"-ring was in the female fitting in the radiator. I probably could have left it, but I replaced it with the new one. As a general rule of thumb, "O"-rings are not designed to be re-used.

IF you left the flared end of the tube as is and just forced the hose over the end, then you have the male fitting still trapped on the tube. That's good, because then you just use the female threaded hose barb fitting and screw the two together(use an "O"-ring), to join the hose to the tube. That is should you have a mind to change in the future. ;)

Thanks for the advice guys! I'll add a barbed fitting on the end of the tubing like you recommended, hopefully before I have a problem.
