VIII looking for 8s
I purchased a 3800 stall for the Mark VIII awhile back and it was damaged in shipping. A bent mounting stud obviously poses a problem. I appreciate the resolution to the matter and replacing the torque converter. I look forward to having it installed in a couple weeks with all the other goodies.

Well, Lonnie and I have talked since, but I thought I would post on here for all to see. The converter works great. I had a tuning issues which caused a neutralizing condition in the transmission which was resolved with a re-written tune without stock tranny parameters LOL! I never for a second thought that the converter was the issue. She shifts hard and quick now. The 3800 stall was a good choice too.

Lonnie, I may be knocking on the door of those numbers you have on your Mark VIII. I ran door to door with a 13.4 second built Vic on Sunday at a 60 roll and a 5 roll. :D
 
That's great to hear you finally got that issue resolved. Sounds like you are well on your way to some low ETs.
