Totaled Mark VIIIs

Good morning all. It’s 6 am and my day is not so good already. I have just looked at a salvage auction listing and am sad to say that the Mark VIII population is decreased by 31 Gen 1 and Gen 2 Marks. That is the listings from only 1 auction company. It’s pretty sad to see all those great cars wasted , but on the other hand, I guess it makes the remaining Marks just a little more valuable. At least to those of us that care for these icons of Ford’s history. May they rest in peace and provide us all with the parts we need to keep our beloved Marks on the road and looking good.
 
Damned shame, I wonder how many of those previous owners will wish they never parted with them later on, and I wonder what they replaced their Marks with. This of course is directed to those willfully letting go of their Marks and not accident victim cars. Every time I see a Mark in a junkyard I shake my head. I still have yet to see a Gen 2 in a yard near me though.
 
Insurance Auto Auctions

...that is where all the totaled cars at work go, and most other insurance companies dump their total loss cars there too.
