Ok...I know this is not quit the right forum but I really need to find out what rear springs will work on a 2000 Town Car. I have heard that Grand Marquis and Crown Vic of certain years will work but I dont know what year I will need  A guy on ebay is selling a set that goes on all three cars from 1990 to 2003 and I know that a 1993 Town Car has coils...so is that what he is actually selling? If that were the case autozone has them for $74 with the rubbers that go on the top and bottom..... Any help would be great!

You have to take this information with a grain of salt since it was from a third party, but according to Rock Auto the 2000 Town Car shares the rear springs with the following cars:

FORD CROWN VICTORIA (1998 - 2007)
FORD CROWN VICTORIA LX (1998 - 2007)
FORD CROWN VICTORIA LX SPORT 2006
FORD CROWN VICTORIA POLICE INTERCEPTOR (1998 - 2007)
FORD CROWN VICTORIA S 1998
LINCOLN TOWN CAR (1999 - 2000)
LINCOLN TOWN CAR ANNIVERSARY 1996
LINCOLN TOWN CAR CARTIER (1994 - 2003)
LINCOLN TOWN CAR DESIGNER SERIES (2006 - 2007)
LINCOLN TOWN CAR EXECUTIVE (1994 - 2007)
LINCOLN TOWN CAR EXECUTIVE L (2005 - 2007)
LINCOLN TOWN CAR SIGNATURE (1994 - 2007)
LINCOLN TOWN CAR SIGNATURE L (2005 - 2007)
LINCOLN TOWN CAR SIGNATURE LIMITED (2005 - 2007)
LINCOLN TOWN CAR TOURING EDITION 1997
LINCOLN TOWN CAR TOURNAMENT EDITION 1994
LINCOLN TOWN CAR ULTIMATE 2004
MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS (1998 - 2005)
MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS GS (2006 - 2007)
MERCURY GRAND MARQUIS LS (2006 - 2007)

Speaking of Rockauto, they have MOOG springs for $72....google Rock Auto discount code and you can find a 5% off coupon. They also have Raybestos for $61

Good luck.

Really depends on what you want. Were you trying to get better handling through stiffer springs, or were you trying to get a plusher ride through softer springs? For handling, I would recommend springs out of a 1999 Crown Victoria that was powered by Natural Gas. The gas tank was over the axle in the trunk, and weighed around 300 pounds, yet the car had to ride at the same height. I ran those in my 99 Vic, and was thrilled with them. For a plush ride, you might be better off sticking with the factory coils from a 2000 Town Car. Depending on where you are, the pair goes for around $80 from the Lincoln/Ford/Mercury dealership.

I am asking this for a friend of mine who is having a lot of trouble with his rear "air" suspension.. He would very much like to go to "coil" springs. I am confused at this because from what I understand is that all the above listed vehicles from MindyMark's post have the same rear "air" suspension...no?

What I need to know is... what other cars and years had "coil" springs that would work on the 2000 Town Car?

1998-2002 Crown Victoria P71 coils would work just fine.

I replaced the air suspension on my 2003 Marauder with 2003-2006 Crown Victoria P71 coils & Bilstein shocks. Worked great and rode even better.
