Tube options

Which intake tubes will fit a cobra manifold to the stock mark8 airbox? I'm trying to cut a corner or two to get the setup going... I'd rather not use an open conical filter, so I'm trying to keep the stock box in there.

Since the Cobra and Gen II TBs are the same, a Gen II tube works fine. I have a Cobra tube but it curves too much to fit. I later picked up a Gen II tube and it worked fine. Later I converted to a conical setup using a Cobra housing.

Some said I would have needed a Gen II box, if I recall they are the same and either filter box will work fine. In fact I think I have a spare filter box.

While I do have an 01 intake in this pick, the TB location is the same.

does that apply for the 96-98 cobra intake? the connection at the TB doesnt look like it will be a problem, I was worried about the lining up of the two, and also the vac connections.... etc..
While I'm at it, where can i pick up a pcv assembly?

The picture posted DOESN"T apply to B style intakes.

In your typical cobra intake swap, a 96-98 cobra intake is used (obviously).

There isn't a stock OEM tube that will work with a 96-98 cobra intake and the OEM airbox.
Your best best would be to pic up a 22 deg rubber elbow, piece of 4" tubing, and another 22 or so deg coupling.

See here pg. 2 http://store.airflo.com/rubber-hoses---clamps.html

I am not 100% on the 22 deg. It would be best to line up the hat on top of your current intake, and figure out the angles. 45 or 30 might work just as well.

how about the c&l, is there going to be any issues with this intake tube? i thought i heard someone say it has fitment issues...

anyone know if they really produce 6hp over stock?

I also was wondering, is the hole on the tb going to have to be covered? The manifold i picked up has been modified to fit a single blade, so i was thinking there is going to be air going through that hole unmetered.
thanks for any advice you guys got...
