Ok I think Im going to do a tune up on my LSC um other then plugs fuel filter plugs pcv valve and air filter is there anything else I should do? Also are the plugs hard to get at or are they easy to change, is there anything I should be carefull with or are they straight forward also I take it that they are under the cover on top of the valve cover with the 3 or 4 bolts right? Thanks for the help!

RE: Tune up time

If you could put the info in your profile on your LSC, we could give you info on what to look out for....need year and if you have any mods..... ie. the 97/8 Marks have coil on plug design while earlier models use multiple coils (coil packs) and plug wires. If you have the C-O-P version, be careful pulling off the coil/rubber boot as it can be torn quite easily. Check each one for cracks. If cracked, replace. Don't let dealer tell you they can not be purchased seperate from the coil, they can. Plugs are quite easy to change and straight forward....I'm sure you will get more responses.

RE: Tune up time

um yeah sorry mines a 97 and i think it does have the c-o-p setup. were can i get the rubber boots? should i just replace all the boots? are they hard to change? also are the boots expensive? oh and no mods not yet! also are the plugs under a panel on top of the valve covers which has 3 or 4 bolts holding it on? thanks

RE: Tune up time

No, No need to replace the boots. But they are easy to change, and cost about 5bucs a piece. If your does not have any hesitation at the current time, no need to change them, just be VERY careful when taking them out to change the spark plugs.

The plugs can be found under the "32 valves V8" cover.

RE: Tune up time

Cool thanks for the help but I was wondering were can you get the boots are they sold at UAP NAPA or someplace like that?
