Upper Control Arm Bushing

Hi Guys and Gal

The bushing on the upper control arms are bad.Everytime I hit a bump you can hear the upper control arms knocking.The control arms are only 2 1/2 years old.

Where can I get Polyurethane bushing for the UCA?

How hard are the bushing to take out of the UCA?

I think supercoupeperformance.com sells them.

Not sure how difficult it is, but are you sure it's the bushings and not the joints themselves? How much and what kind of mileage do you have on them?
 
I doubt that is the problem. You need to get under there and start prying and shaking on the joints and lowers. It could be your sway bar or end links as well. Check your strut rod bushings too.

Forget to add just replace the sway bar end link, sway bar bushing and replace the passenger tie rod end two week ago.

When I hit the UCA it move about 1/4 in.

How would I know if the joints is bad?

About 50,000 miles on the UCA.
 
Wow that didn't take long for you to go thru. You got to stop running over all those steers. Were they quality parts to start with?
 
You can get them at Super Coupe, but they are not listed under the Mark8.

"NOTE: The SCP polyurethane upper control arm bushings that come in our Tbird/Cougar poly front end rebuild kit can easily be swapped in for the stock rubber bushings that come with this arm. We sell these separately, if desired."

Depending on where you got the UCA's you may have a warranty on them. I'm pretty sure the TRW UCA's I bought from Advance Auto have a lifetime warranty.

Is does have a lifetime warranty but I dont know the phone number I put it under. :(
