Upper control arms from T-Bird

I purchased some upper control arms today at $90 ea. Since I am converting to coil springs, I was wondering if ones from a t-bird would have worked? The price was $75 ea. They would not have the air sensor mounting ball attached. But would the dimentions be the same? The difference in price would buy one rear shock for a t-bird (monroe sensi-track $29.99)...

The mark viii control arms are $70 a piece, so I don't see your savings. But the only difference between the mark and the t-bird c-arms is the ball stud for the height sensor. So if you're using the coil conversion, you're free to use either one.

Is that price for "used" or "new OEM" control arms?

Brand new pieces from the same supplier than makes them for FORD.

Well, my price was $90 from a local parts store for Moog. I probably could have saved some money by orderinmg them on line but I needed them ASAP. But, next time I'll get the t-bird arms for my gen II when the bags go on that one.

RE: Upper control arms from T-Bird

The kit I got was from Strut Masters, It was stock ride height (18" from ground to fender lip) This is my wife's car. I will go with the lowered kit that lowers the car 1.5". This is plenty low as I drive a lot in the Valley (San Fernando) and much lower than that I will be tearing up things under the car. I was prety satisfied with the kit and price, $399, for all four corners. Add Monroe T-Bird shocks, new rear shock mounts from Max at Five Star plus the new upper control arms, the car drives like new. My wife even noticed the difference. Usually she only notices when the wipers don't work...
