Very Good PS Tutorial.

RE: Very Good PS Tutorial.

Totally cool tutorial but wayyyyyyyyyyyyy too deep and B O R I N G for me! LOL!!!

I don't even know what the hell or where the hell the Vector tool even is?

Too deep, but cool site.

RE: Very Good PS Tutorial.

Every shape you create is a vector until it is rasterized. The pen tool can create vector objects as well. The pen tool is great if you haven't used it before. Think of it as a selection tool where you can easily modify the selction areas, not just transform the selection. Similar to the quick mask mode. Create the path, tweak it, then load the path as a selection.

I have to agree though, it is much easier to swipe wheels from other cars and actual photographs, but doing it yourself makes it that much more original...

RE: Very Good PS Tutorial.

I never touched the pen tool in the past 3 years Ive been on PS.

Im going to get down with PS over the Winter though.

Im missing out on SOOOO much!!!!

RE: Very Good PS Tutorial.

The program is just soo damn DEEEEEEPP! I don't think you could ever learn it all. I'm okay with the pen tool but I have some other shortcuts with the standard selection tools that I normally use before I pick up that pen...

Sometimes you have to force yourself just to see what you are missing!

RE: Very Good PS Tutorial.

I got "Real World Photoshop 6 Tricks and Tips" from the library; it was excellent for any skill level.

My personal favorite is The Killer Tips series. They get right to the point in those books. There are a lot of good books out there, some even come with a CD that has custom actions/styles/brushes, etc...
