Vibrations

I've got a 97 Mark VIII, the other day it got a vib all of the sudden. It doesn't start until the engine is warmed up and only does it when accelerating but does not do it at all when in park and rev'ing engine. It sounds alot like the coil probelms I've seen posted here, I checked the coil boots, broke one x( and replace it.
How can I tell it my vibration is from a bad coil or a torque converter problem.
Also should I be concerned that there was couple of sprk plugs with oil down around the bottom of the hole, cleaned it up, figured it was seapage from valve cover gasket
Thanks for any advise you have

RE: Vibrations

Im hoping your replaced only the $5 boot, not the entire $75 coil. The reasons why I got rid of my 97 Mark was due to all the insane vibration.

Engine mounts, espcially the one of the drivers side lets go early. I'm sure changing out your mounts will help out a lot.

RE: Vibrations

Thanks,
I had not thought of the engine mounts and yes I just replaced the boot. I don't want to have to get rid of the car I've had it 5 yrs and love it, my wifes been driving it to and from work the past couple of years(drives me nuts cause she don't keep clean) but she commutes 25 mile to work and to drive the expedition that everyday would cost a fortune, she's gonna learn to ride a motorcycle this spring, hehehe.
