Last year, SoundMan Car Audio of Santa Clarita, California was among the first to develop a custom Apple iPad installation kit for your dash. Now, with Friday's release of the iPad 2, SoundMan has wasted no time preparing the first of what will likely be many iPad 2 dash installs. On Friday, the team installed Apple's wondertablet into a 2011 Ford F-150.
SoundMan's Doug Bernards is the man responsible for the install kits, which require more than a little fabrication, and a host of aftermarket jacks and connectors. On Friday, Doug did an all-day blast to get the dash of his F-150 ready for the gadget, while an employee sat in line for eight hours at the local Best Buy.
