Vortech bracket install

crash

How the heck does the vortech bracket fit onto the front of the engine? It looks like that AC line (see pic - runs from passenger side head towards radiator, makes u-turn) gets in the way. Did anybody else run into this issue?

Here is a better picture. That AC line needs to move about 3" in order for the bracket to reach the mounting holes.

Bend them...

Bend them...

take the lines out of the clip holder and bend them carefully out of the way. Be carefull around the braised weld points. The metal is very soft. Only bend the straight parts while bracing solid the weld points so you dont put a crack in the braising weld from the factory and loose your freon.

I had to move mine over away from the engine to fit my ProCharger bracket also. Same problem. i guess the Mustangs are more tucked away with the AC and the little mini radiator they have.

Yeah, a little gentle massaging of the lines and everything will fit. It is very tight, but you don't have to remove or unhook any of the lines to install the bracket.

An assortment of soft pine 2x4 scraps & blocks carefully wedged under the tube
deform enough to help prevent kinking. Bend it just a little in about 3 places.
It's more a matter of stretching the outside of the radius. The material seems
pretty soft.

Sorry, I see you've already got it done.
