Weird Caster/Camber Problems.

I got a weird one here my dad noticed when I was backing into the driveway.... When I drive the car forward and park and look at the front wheels it looks ok. But when I reverse and park the bottoms stick out like this / -- \ . As soon as I move foreward again they go back straight. I have done almost a complete front end rebuild including the following:
UCA / Balljoints
Struts
Lower Ball Joint
Outer tierods
Strut Rod bushings (both)
Sway Bar Links

I can't figure it out for nothing. The car drives ok, and straight, but when I hit bumps, it sure sounds like a lot of banging going on under there. Any ideas/suggestions on whats causing this to happen, or is it even anything to worry about? If nothing else, the poor car might have to go to a shop for the first time sense I owned it!

RE: Weird Caster/Camber Problems.

Did you change the whole lower A-arm or just the balljoint on one side?

Your inner bushings may be gone, also upper a-arms can do this to.

How does it drive?

Did you change all strut rod bushings or just the ones to the lower arms? there are 2 different sets on each side... 1 set rod to K-member/frame and 1 set rod to lower a-arm

Don't forget the inner tie rods.

Donny ;

Align the front end ! The wheels have too much toe in ! When you drive forward the outside of the tires bite into the pavement pulling the wheels in ! When you back up the pressure on the outside of the tires is relieved and the tires spread out ! Too much play in the suspension can make it worse !

Good Luck,
Sonny
