When you take off from a stop? Sounds to me like a bad motor mount (driver side) or the transmission mount is lifting, causing the driveshaft to hit the safety loops.
Power brake the engine by holding the brake and tapping the gas and see if you can simulate it. If you can get the noise at a complete stop, its probably going to be your driver's side motor mount.
