RE: WFC7
It's a very, very cool event. There are three main parts of the event, the biggest being the racing. The track is in the middle of everything and the racing goes non-stop all day on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (assuming there's no rain delays, which there have been the past couple of years). People come from all over the country to compete. The Pro-5.0 racers always put on a great show.
The other two parts are the car show and the vendor's midway. The car show is in a big, long parking lot that's on the left side of the tall end of the racetrack. So if you walk around the car show (or park there) you can still watch the racing. If anyone is bringing their Mark VIII park it in the car show! Cost was like $10 for all three days last year, and it's the safest, closest parking there is. Plus last year my Mark VIII was the only one there so we need some more Lincoln's representing
I parked with a group of guys from TCCoA, very nice folks and we had a good time. You don't have to have your car judged, but it could be an easy victory if they put Mark VIIIs into a small class (like last year). People come from all over the country to put there cars in the show, too, so there's always something interesting to see.
The vendor's midway is along the right side of the racetrack and has a ton of booths where you can buy parts, shirts, accessories, stuff like that. Pretty much anything you can think of is there - and for really good prices (usually below what you can find online). And if you can't get it there, a lot of places will give you a card and offer you "show pricing" and have it shipped to you (that's how I got a set of longtubes for my Mustang last year).
