what is the 97 converter bolt circle diameter? 11 3/8 or 10 5/8?

ok. found it 10.6" bolt circle. 11 3/4 diameter converter. but more questions.
i called a converter site. they said don't worry about somewhat higher stall as the lock up is in effect while highway cruising at an rpm under the advertised stall.
but i'm seeing talk of needing a cooler where the thinking is the trans is getting hotter because you are under the stall and thus still slipping.
so these two things don't make sense.
if in lockup and cruising the freeway is a 2600 stall converter slipping?

also, wondering about how this 37mph lock up likes it when you floor it and the trans downshifts and rpms go thru the roof? is the lockup still engage during this event?
or what roll does lockup play when off flashing off the line?
