What Kind of MidBass are you running?

RE: What Kind of MidBass are you running?

what kind of power are u putting to them? i cant remember but if its possible biamp them or go with an active crossover as i hear the passives are whats hindering alot of the power. and when i say seal the door, i mean overkill that thing. im gonna do a 2nd and 3rd layer of mat on my doors and im gonna cover the slots for the door panel as best i can. to eliminate rattles im gonna glue a carpet pad onto the mat. its either this or make an enclosure on the bottom front corner of the door where the map pocket and buttons are. it all depends on which of my speakers i decide to use.

this is all true that you type but things are much simpler to just throw a sealed box in the back and as you said you need a verry stiff suspnsion since the sub no longer has air behind it to become the suspsion. so depending on teh sub the woofer can become verry sloppy sounding as it did with some elcheapo rockfords using tehe bed of my s10 in an IB setup but it only took a 200 watt amp to get friggin loud.

one of the guys in my old car club had a bandpass wall for spl the front port was like 2feet by 2 feet and i forget how deep but you could stick your head in it ::grrr::

did you ever see tom noisanes (sp?) home set up he used his basment at the encloseure

as for the gates bronco Alma is on my aim list :p but there are other installs hitting 179 now some using one woofer and lots of power intead of lots off woofers and moderate power

now you have me tempeted to gut my blazer and put the wall in let me know how it turns out with lots of pics
