Wheels for drag slicks

I need slicks for days at the track. My Goodyear Eagle F1's are pretty good but I spin them through first (.194 60'). It's easier to get slicks for 15 inch wheels but I need something that will fit under the fenders. Does anyone have a suggestion?

Look at a set of 26x9.50x16 Hoosier QTP DOT drag tires. They also come in 28x11.5x16 I believe.

I had these MT ET Streets DR's mounted to my stock OctaStars. 1.8 60'. No smoke show with them though, in the burn out box. Just clean them off for a couple seconds, and you are good to go. :)

Thanks for the information. I'm going to have to get tires that will give more grip.

I used tbird wheels for my 235 Drag radials because I wanted 15s. 15s wont clear the front brakes though, just the rears.

Also a hot secret I stumbled upon, continentals use aluminum spares that pretty much look just like Weld Draglites only they have our bolt pattern. So lightweight skinnies can be had for cheap if you can find them. I was never able to find them cheap enough so I didnt actually buy them. IIRC they were 16" and you could buy sandrail tires for them. Only the later years ahd them also IIRC.

I bought a couple of snowflake wheels from Jamie and plan on having them widened. I think I can run them at 9" wide. Dennis widened a pair 2" and had to run big spacers.

driller what did those alum wheels come with? were they stock mark wheels or what? i rember my auto shop teacher has a 1977 benz diesel what had what looked like black steel wheels with hub caps. they were actuley alum "steelies" with hub caps i think they were 15x5 or 6 those would not be a bad from rim if they would fit.

They are actually OEM Mark VIII Aluminum 16" spare rims. I hunted for many months, and after coming across one it was a couple weeks later when I snagged the second one.

Some of the T-bird SCs came with aluminum 15" spare, they're pretty hard to find lately, there is one on ebay right now Clicky
