Will this tranny fit my 98 Mark?

It is described as such:

99 CROWN VIC Transmiss,Transaxle LX 4.6L ATOD RWD AH Column

The valve body electronics should be the same, BUT I think the tailshaft housing is a different length which is no biggie cause that can just be swapped. Anyone else agree?

The longer extension housing is only on Police crown vics and Lincoln Town Cars.

Will the shift linkage be the same?

This is the linkage on the junk trans that came out of my car.

You may have to swap your MLPS to the new trans. I don't know if the 99 crown vic MLPS is the same as the 98 MKVIII.
