Can someone tell me how the wipers come off? Is it like most, where the little cover comes off and you loosen the nut and take it off? I wasnt sure because when I tried to pry where the cover would be it didnt come off, and it looked like a little clip of some sort on the bottom side. So i left it alone because I didnt wanna damage nothing. Im trying to remove the cowl panel so I can check the windshield seal.

These are actually easier than that. The best proceedure is: Turn the ignition on, turn the wipers on, turn the ignition off when the wipers reach a high spot on the windshield. Take a piece of masking or similar tape and mark where the blade has stopped. Then lift the blade away from the glass. If you look closely, down at the pivot point you will see a small tab protruding from the bottom of the arm. Move this tab out as far as it will go. A small common screwdriver works well as a tool for this. Let the blade move back toward the glass. You will see it is locked in a position a few inches off of the glass. Rock the arm away and then to the glass a few times, and it will be off in your hands. TO REINSTALL; If you marked the glass properly, you know exactly where to put the arm back on the pivot. Push the end of the arm onto the pivot, Raise the blade away from the glass, push the tab back under the arm and relase the blade. Remove the tape, and you're done.

My '93 had small keyways and a key to position the arm on the pivot. If you lose the key, it can be tough to align the arm back on the pivot but otherwise the key is not needed. The masking tape then is a good idea. ;)

I've forever tried to figure that out...thanks!! And to whom it may concern, that should be in the maintenance sticky!
