wipers bind up when parking

I recently replaced the wiper motor because the wipers wouldnt shut off. I notice this new motor that I got (came with bracket and arm) likes to bind up when parking. It doesnt do this all the time. If I run the wipers on/off 5 or 6 times it will bind up once within those times. The wipers try to park but something stops them. After they bind up, I go to switch the wipers back on and I will hear a clunk sound and the wipers make their full sweep and then will park fine. It is rather odd.. I checked the motor and arm and I cant see where anything could be holding it up. Has anyone else had this issue before?
 
Sounds like a good idea. I dont understand why it would do what its doing. Its not like I installed it wrong.
