Wipers wont park Gen 2

RE: Wipers wont park Gen 2

Basically, you still need to remove all the bolts holding the tray in place. But rather than trying to pull the tray out at that point, you just lift and tilt it up enough to where you can unplug the motor's electrical connector (probably the most difficult part of the whole thing, which isn't much). Then remove the bolts holding the motor to the tray and wiggle the motor out from under it. MUCH easier than removing the tray completely.

Cuts hours of frustration trying to get the tray back in place.

So, is the only choice to get a new wiper motor from Ford???

Mine wipers have been on the fritze for over 2-years. It doesn't park, it stops up sometimes, and they even go up sometimes when they're off.

If the only option is $200, I might just not do it. I've already put way too much $$$$ into the car this year.

I see the motorcraft one on their website for $157-$168, $121-$138 after core charge.

Does the other, A1 Cardone one come with the parking mechanism? That one is only $60 after core charge?

Doubtful, due to the price difference, but it wouldn't hurt to call & check?
