WTB: 97/98 Mark VII LSC

Hey Congrats Mike! :) I saw one of those for sale down in LA...its definitely a different color for sure but looks good!

yea, I hope I like it as much as I wanted a black on black. Can't wait, its like an hour away from me

Congratulations! that sounds like a fantastic car. And by far the best color! :)

I can't wait to see the photos.

Yes, evergreen thanks. The seller and I are set to meet friday early, for a cash transaction. It is a base model but it has octastars! Its got a tan interior. Looks immaculate. I'll get pics by next weekend. I'm gonna get it tinted all limo, even windshield, lol. Hope I don't get a ticket ;) put my box I'm it and possibly a new head unit, some double din or 1 and a half, whichever fits. Do an exhaust, hopefully all by carlisle.

Are we talking about the same car, cause the one you sent me 'might' be green, but it sure looks blue in the pics, and it 'is' an LSC with octastars...

they told me its green, I know it looks blue and they didn't seem to know what an LSC was so I will see when I get there, no biggie. Here is one of the pics, what do you guys think? How can I tell if its an LSC?

All what is chrome on a base model is painted on the LSC. Perforated front seats. Right side of neon says LSC! True dual exhaust.

were you joking when you said this? i hope so considering you are into mark VIII's
nope, I forgot about the painted trim and perforated seats, sorry my life doesn't revolve around them, I just like them, and I meant cause I can't see the LSC portion of the tail light. Remember I haven't had a driver in 2 years now.

... and a detective? LOL :D
up yours

lmao my life doesnt revolve around them either, i just learned the difference about 12 years ago, i figured in the 5 years you have been a member here, plus owning them and selling parts you would know what is what just saying! in fact being married, raising 2 kids, and taking care of my wife's dieing father for the last 14 years and working fulltime as a welder i hardly revolve my life around lincolns, its funny how some think they know how my life is who dont know me.

same here how "some" think they know mine, I'm not keeping track of time here though. And I didn't say your life revolved around anything Its not always about you, relax kid. We all got "things" going on, some choose to share those things, some don't.

I hate that freaking color. So much, that after staring at that 16k mile 97 LSC in my garage over the winter last year, I sold it in the spring.

I hope it works out for you, I am just not a green car person ;)

yea, like I said I always wanted Black on Black, I hope I am not too disappointed. I think I will like it though

my plan was dark. Blue, Green, or Black.

I've been very pleased with the Evergreen.

Looks good Mike. Good luck with the tinted windshield. I want to tint the windshield in my Navigator but my Chief already put the kaibosh on that plan. (casually ran it by him lol) Plus we got the inspection stickers on the lower right side and its Mass General Law that it be placed in that spot on the inside. The Nav is dark green and I love it.

my windshield is tinted 50%, that doesnt sound like alot, but at night it does make it harder to drive, all my others are 5% so at night with all the windows up and looking out the front windshield its not easy to see, my wife wont drive it unless its warm enough to have the windows down. i love the way it looks but i dont think i would do it again.

Speaking of tint, I put the SolarGuard UV protective tint on my dads 97. It was 78% on the front sides and 25% on the rears. The 78% was cooler than 5% (limo) but it let's the light in. Would be perfect for windshields if you don't want it too dark but wanna block the rays.

you know, I was thinking about this, I always felt that the really dark tint made the car look alittle more "ghetto" whereas lighter tint, like on a BMW or mercedes looks more classy, maybe I will go that way
