If you are looking for a outdoor cover, buy one made of "Noah" material. Covercraft makes one for a Mark VIII.

I have a fitted OEM Mercedes Noah cover on my SL that I bought from the dealer, and I love it! Expect to pay around $300 for it, but it is worth every penny.

it will sit on the car outside, will it hold against strong winds? Not that I live in a windy area but lately, I feel like it
