WTB - LF air shock 98 LSC

SCTBIRD1173

Mark my Bird!
Looking for a cheap LF air shock assembly to get by with until I do my Koni swap with the new Ford parts I have stockpiled. The shock itself can be bent and/or blown out, I just need the bag to hold air for a year or 2 :D

Thanks!

Ahhhh not 100%. I think the air valve will just be on the opposite side so your solenoid won't reach.

It won't work unless you drill new mounting holes in the shock tower, as well as extend the air lines, and solenoid lead.

So I can't swap the air spring itself onto the LH shock and just temporarily extend the air line and solenoid lead? I apologize for the questions but I haven't had anything on the Mark apart yet, it just sits in the garage unregistered and uninsured :( I know SC's really well though :D

Thanks guys!

Well then answer this yourself. Can you swap the struts on your SC left to right ? Disregard the air lines and stuff for now.

Actually it's funny you say that because I'm pretty sure you can... But since I'm really only talking about the air spring itself, separated from the shock already, Yes, I can use my front springs on either side of the SC. :D

Seriously though guys, I appreciate all the input here... In due time I'll know a lot about the Mark like I do everything else I own.

J do you know what you are looking to get for the RH shock? Would you be willing to separate the air spring from the shock for easier shipping?

Thanks!

I thought they were molded and unseperable.

I could take a sawzall to it, lol. I'll have to look to see how it mounts, the air spring probably unbolts....somehow.

From what I've read on here there is a clip (that's a bit of a pita to get off) that holds the air spring onto the shock. Let me see if I can find the thread, I believe it's one of the Koni swap threads.

Thanks!

Confirmed with Domenic (97blklsc) that the air spring itself is side specific.

Thanks for all the help everyone! And the hunt continues...
