    Shelby Expedition

Quote Pete/Steve I just sent the payment for my new baby. I got this car because it is the total package. I will not drive her but a couple thousand miles a year so comfort has taken back seat. She does not have ABS, but has 8 piston 15" front brakes... I think it is realatively safe to say...

AOL 9.0 taking up too much RAM?

Trixie, I was being serious :). AOL runs just plain bad on just about everything. Shoot some specs up here to to me at luke@wdscomputers.com and I'll offer some more (but useful) advice.

    Raced an LS1 Trans Am

A stock Mark should get trashed by a LS1 TA :). Hell, my very lightly modd'd one gets beat up by my coworkers automatic Porsche 928s. We won't talk about comparing it to my C5. But hey.. You know how much I like Transams? I traded one (was an LT1 w/6spd, about 16k miles) with low miles...

AOL 9.0 taking up too much RAM?

RE: Help!!! anybody from virginia? or get a ticket in V If memory serves, here in NC 15mph over the limit is considered wreckless driving :). Who knows in VA, but thats one helluva a ticket - find a lawyer quick !

Anyone getting 'Windows Alert' form of Ads?

Actually, the integrated Windows XP product isn't that bad, just not real configurable. It does a very good job of stopping intruders though, especially since you've already paid for it. Alternatives such as zone alarm are fine to, but I prefer a less annoying hardware solution. I run a...

Anyone getting 'Windows Alert' form of Ads?

Thats not a fix. Thats simply disabling the service. Bottom line, you have that port open to the net chances are other services are also vulnerable ! On XP, consider enabling the firewall functionality or purchasing a inexpensive firewall appliance (cable modem/dsl router such as a Dlink...

    Lookout for Sobig.E virus

Thats a neat one. Looks like there are an awful lot of people already infected by the number of copies of it being sent to my email address(s) and the origin IPs all being different for the most part. It's unique in that it sends itself out, zipped. And of course most AV solutions didn't...

    Silly SHO

If the kid knew how to drive a 5spd SHO would have given you a good run for your money :) I've had quite a few of them over the years.. Great cars :)

    ASUS P4G8x Deluxe

Unfortunately at this point not to many vendors offer a truely good level of customer support after the sale, Asus included. The don't make to bad a product overall though. I am very pleased with their barebone notebook line in particular (I'm using one right now.. nice..) Asus wouldn't be...

    live stream to internet...

IP camera.. thats the easiest way. If you have a cheap cable/dsl router you'd just have to forward a port to the internal ip of the ip camera and then http to the camera from wherever you are wanting to keep an eye on things.. if you dont have a static ip and dont want to pay for one (or its...

    Shake at 50 MPH

Give us a little more info. I think perhaps your tires are poorly balanced (my local tire shop never gets his machine calibrated.....) and that is causing some of your trouble. I used to have that problem alot until I figured it out :). Rotors are also a problem, even with new parts...

    Paintless Dent Removal

The cheap $20 kit off TV won't work for any dent like yours Kale.. Its a damn glue gun, glue sticks and a cheap plastic assembly to pull the dent out. Worthless really based on the reviews I've read :). Even car and driver reviewed it.

    A couple questions actually...

also, you might make sure that file and printer sharing isn't setup or is setup with access rights defined and password protected. If you have a cheap NAT router or even zonealarm you should be somewhat OK and can block incoming netbios traffic..
