    Transmission fluid leak.......

Without use the Front seal dries up and leaks, becomes brittle. I think there is a TSB. Potentially overfilled. Christopher Bennett Bristow, VA 93 Black LSC

    Engine codes

I experienced similar with my 1993. Unplugged and opened up the VCRM in front of the radiator (takes the hit first if in a front end accident) after finding that all circuits ground there looking for a grounding problem - reassembled and replugged with only dusting. Had Oxegen sensors...

    Seats need replacing/ paint trouble

I'd assumed the glue that bonds the top and bottom of the plastic hood together continued acting and is just rising to the surface - it's a cute little pattern of 4 bubbles in a 1 inch box on about a 6 inch grid all over the hood once it's fully matured. I think it's a engineering design flaw -...

Mark IX or Mark X (didn't know where to put this post)

A couple of years ago I'd heard the Mark X was in a design position and that had it with a V-10, wide and long wheelbase with limited rear seating and retractable roof. The Mark IX looks like a Caddy sort of - or a Zephyr - The X approaches expectations from this humble party.

    Cam Chains and Gears

It appeared to allow greater servicability and access. Mine is fairly messy and I need to replace some gaskets that have shrunk which have decided to weep oil - car spends too much time in the garage I guess. I was thinking that dropping the engine out and doing a total cleanup - the tubular...

    Cam Chains and Gears

Looking for advice on replacment interval on Cam Chain/Drive/Gears being worried my 1993LSC with 127,000 may need that kind of work - also seems the engineering design is near bullit-proof enough that it may not be in my lifetime but wanted feed back on this kind of work Also, someone in the...

    RACK & PINION REPLACEMENT

Some parts listings will get you a 92 Mark VII rack instead of the proper Mark VIII 93 rack and Tie Rods, perhaps use the 94 listing instead. Christopher Bennett Bristow, VA 93 Black LSC

    "CHECK ENGINE" - HELP!

You say it only happens when engine comes up to temperature. The computer has several running strategies, this is one of the specific engine management strategies. Unless under WOT it involves EGR recycling exhaust gases and dynamic fuel mixture based on DPFE upstream/downstream feedback and...

    steering wheel shake

Warped rotars may be combined with steering rack/tie rod damage also, I've had good results from Brigstone RE730 "Z"s. Take the wheels off and check on the inside of the rim for debris (like NASCAR marble build-up). Christopher Bennett Bristow, VA 93 Black LSC

    EGR Valve....?

In my previous reply I noted a book on sale, in that book are documented some racing (non-street) versions of EEC-IV which may fulfill your desire. I tink SVO sells them for NASCAR etc... Christopher Bennett Bristow, VA 93 Black LSC

    Stumble under heat

Thanks for the info, thinking that the VCRM contains the High-Speed Fuel pump relay that has relevance. Makes me think maybe I'm due for a fuel filter change also so maybe I'll try the filter and chase the power feeds to the pump for damage. Christopher Bennett Bristow, VA 93 Black LSC

    EGR Valve....?

I believe the EGR interacts with DPFE which in end controls fuel mixing and also interacts with temperature - you may end up with overheat conditions going lean/stalling going rich depending on strategy (startup/cold/warm/takeoff/idle). Try ISBN 0-8376-0301-3 Ford Fuel injection & Electronic...

    Stumble under heat

I've been watching this club for at least a couple of years - y'all are a great group, good resource. I'm hoping you may help me with an engine electical problem. My 93 LSC will appear to loose engine power under conditions of Hot summer days when in stop and go - will stumble for maybe 1/2 a...
