I have though about one of the louvers. My thing is I haven't used it in over a year and now with the new motor it still doesnt work right so I unhooked the power lead. I'm thinking just seal it. that wouldn't show or make any noise. I also thought about a piece of foam stuck up in there and...

Chicago area next weekend - Nov 15 or 16?

OK people. I was really thinking of trying to get to see some of you this sunday. However, it is about 5 hours to get there by the time I find the place and 4 hours at least, back home. I would hate to get there and find it had moved. I am not sure I'll make it but I'm going to try. I'll...

    Better than an Ice Box?

I really don't think I'd worry about the moisture. On a Mustang 4 cyl. I had I used water injection to keep the intake charge cool and ran 17 lbs of boost with no ignition retard and got no knock. It did take only 4 quarter mile runs to use 1 quart of water. That's 1 cup in 14 seconds. I did...

    Lost RPM reading

I don't know if your problem is the same but mine quit a couple weeks ago after a couple really hot days. I took the instrument cluster out and found the sealer under the tach face had softened and let it slide down enough to ride the shaft to the needle and bind it. I just carefully lifted...

    shift kits in our trannys

I did not find it hard at all. I thought the hardest thing was getting it up in the air and blocked where I had enough room to work. However, This was my first one with electric controls so I kept a real close track of any wires I took off. I had a shop and did auto work 25 years ago...

    shift kits in our trannys

I did the B+M in Mine. I bought the stuff for the shift fix from ford only to find out the B+M kit has it in there. Same parts I got from ford, Spring and all. My frindly dealer took them back so I saved That Money. The Kit has a couple stages and I did the the hardest shifting one. I don't...

    Wanting to buy Crotch Rocket

My first bike was a KZ900, a very fast bike in the 70's. I know it would hit 115 in third gear, I tried it once and never again. It had 5 gears and I have no idea of it's top speed in 5th. Then I had a GL 1000, the first of the Honda gold wings and I have no Idea how fast it would go. I now...

    World's best wax!

Yes, I do see Blue Coral products but never that 2 part system with the hard wax. I don't know if the new stuff would be as good. They do have something called Dry Clean for fabric cleaning that I use. I put a guage in my 84 Cougar, one with a line, it broke and engine oil all over the...

    World's best wax!

I don't know if it's still made or if it would be good for the new clearcoat finishes but!!! When I got my first good car, a 1959 Bonniville, Black, I had something made by BLUE CORAL. It was a 2 Part thing. One jar of a cleaner to use first, then another jar of was I guess was Wax. It looked...

    Lost 3rd and 4th Help!

Don't Know for sure about yours but mine started just dropping down to 2nd while I was driving and then might come back up on it's own. Sometimes I'd Have to wiggle the shifter a little and it would come back. I changed what I think They call the MLS, it's the electronic switch right on the...

Do I have a wheel bearing going south?

I would suggest you feel around the front tire. If you feel a slight cupping on the inner or outter edge it might be tire noise. I've had that before and changed the tires and it was gone. The cupping doesn't always go all the way around and will give you the sound of a bearing. Just my $.02...

    Thermostat

I Would be very careful running without a thermostat. I have heard the colant can pass through the radiator to fast and not give up enought heat. Don't know that for sure. If it runs hot without one, that may be why. Wayne
