the hub swap isnt hard, but if your goal is only to get new brakes, it might be a bit more $ than you want to spend.. i think you can buy cobra 13" rotors in the mark pattern from diskbrakesrus.com you would need cobra calipers and brakets to make them work. and you would have to run 17" rims...

but does whipple even make a kit for 96-8 motors? i thought they entered the Ford enviroment with the 03+ cobra's...

huh.. looks like the blx3 spanned the whole year range of 97's.. wonder why all the ones i found were late 96's.. just coincidence i guess. I did end up getting a new ECU, just have to get a hold of SCT and get it taken care of...

Those of you who have BLX3 as the catch code on the ECU, can you check the production date of your car? In my search for another BLX3 ECU, the only cars i could find that had them were 8-96 dated cars (which mine is as well). Just wondering how far along the line these compters were used..

i bought the pipe cap from Home depot, and removed the pipe from the fitting that goes into the header, and left the fitting on the header, and welded the cap to the fitting..

i have 2 as well...(gen2)

yup.. thats where i hooked mine.. i wish i had a longer chain on the load leveler, so i could have used 4 bolts to lift.. would have made it more stable i think

not worried about EGR, but the fuel pressure.. is the schrader valve on the mark's rails blocked by the cobra intake somehow?

do i need cobra fuel rails or will stock 97 rails work? the intake i am getting doesnt come with the rails, so i was just wondering if i need them or not..

unless you know fo someone who will work them for free, a straight swap to something is what i am going to have to be doing...
