    CHECK AIR RIDE SYSTEM"!!!" (FIXED!!)

RE: "CHECK AIR RIDE SYSTEM"!!! When you first start the car, the module does a quick self-test of the entire system. Apparently, its "seeing" something it doesn't like and doesn't want to go any further and shutting the system down. This can be a sensor, the module itself, a compressor relay or...

    CHECK AIR RIDE SYSTEM"!!!" (FIXED!!)

RE: "CHECK AIR RIDE SYSTEM"!!! When does the light come on? after approx. 45 seconds after the key is turned on?....or 90 seconds after the key is turned on?......Does the compressor always run with the key turned on? A couple of things come to mind and you may have more than one problem. One...

My arnott struts are making noises.

Lesson learned on your part. I think Ford/Lincoln has worked any bugs out of their air struts/springs many years ago, after making millions of them over the years. You can bet any company making "new" knockoffs are going to have many bumps down the road. Use good parts to begin with and forget...

    Rear Bag Problem

Jake, keep in mind that the quicker you fix the problem, the less money you will have to shell out in the long run. "IF", the solenoids have ever been removed, you may get lucky and it just be the o-rings, but if they have never been messed with....you can bet money your rear air springs are gone.

    New Car

I can't help on the other stuff, but as far as the air suspension goes, the air springs will go bad in time with or without the suspension switch on. There pretty easy to change out when its time, so don't worry about it. You might as well enjoy the load leveling part.

    Suspension Codes

Although suspension height can contribute to handling problems, I think you should wait till after you fix the air suspension before tackling the pulling problem. (an alignment should be done AFTER you get the car to the correct height, as this has a big impact on the camber & toe) Its sounds...

    Storage of

If it was my car, I would jack up the car and while the suspension is hanging, I would give the air springs and struts a good dose of silicone spray. Try to get on the back side as good as possible. Putting the car on jackstands afterwards is the best way. As far as inside goes, I think one of...

    help, my car bottomed out!

Most likely the pump has taken out the relay. When these pumps start going bad, the pump pulls way more amps than they were designed to, which is really hard on the relay. If you ever get the rear to pump up or after you have replaced the compressor and relay, do this easy leak test...

    Check Suspension Message

From the small amount of info given, it sounds like you "may" have a leak in the front. Turn the ignition switch back on and let it pump up until the compressor stops. Then shut it off and open and close the door. Within a few minutes, the car should vent down to "curb height". ONLY after this...

Front Struts just wont come off!

RE: NO CUTTING!!! Unless you want to replace the lower control arm as well, don't heat the lower bolt. The bolt goes through the bushing of the lower control arm and can easily damage it. I have a few ideas on this page: http://www.americanairsuspension.com/what%20if%20the%20bolt%20is%20rusted.htm

    Suspension light during/after highway driving

Sorry it took so long to get back with you. Hey Zeb. Go ahead and open the hood, have a air line ready from an air compressor. Turn the ignition on and immediately put the air hose on the shraeder valve. The module will automatically open whichever solenoid it needs to have open, then close it...

    Sure sounds like it Moe.

    Suspension light during/after highway driving

Hey Zeb! A bad relay is definately a possibility, but I think you should go sweet talk that mechanic that worked on your car before and get him to pull the codes. It may be something totally different.

    Is the weather causing problems?

Moe, with what you have described, thats textbook leaking air struts. Each strut/spring has its own solenoid which acts as a gate for air to come in or out. When you turn off the suspension switch, your disabling the "gates". If it goes down while the switch is off, and you have never removed...

    Front end alignment problems?!

Ray, I don't agree. There is only so much camber adjustment, even on a Mark VIII. If you put the car on a good Hunter machine that'll give you a live reading, you'll see where I'm coming from. A Mark that hasn't been lowered all that much will have much more adjustment left to make up for the...

    Is the weather causing problems?

Temperature affects the flexability of the rubber bladder as much as anything else. In my experience,if the solenoids have been removed(in the past), its a good chance just the o-rings need replacing. If the front struts have NEVER been "disturbed",(solenoid not removed in the past) the...

    FRONT AIR BAGS

I've been told that the dampening or ride is a little more comfortable and controlled. The 1st gen struts were notorious for having an internal binding problem, but supposedly Ford took care of that problem with the 2nd gens. As far as the lower mounting bolt goes, I would go ahead and start...

Hmmm.. New bags but they go down.

WHAT? Kale, what silicone? The only silicone I have ever used on a pump was to seal the vent solenoid. The only thing that goes between the dryer and compressor is the 1 o-ring. Do you think you may have worked it so hot that it melted the o-ring?

    New spyder living in mark

Its all depending on your mechanical abilities, but most people install it in less than a couple of hours. I don't know if I can post prices or not, but here is the link: http://www.americanairsuspension.com/MARK%20VIII%20PARTS%20PAGE.htm
