    Painted Cowl Hood :)

Say Bro! She really looks mean and bad! Great job! Only one thing that bothers me, the paint coming off of your wiper arms. Seems it makes no difference what brand of car or truck it is, The companies that supply the wiper arms never seem to get enough paint on them to last. Or maybe it's...

    GEN II/3rd CAT

Ken, I'm still a beleiver in people. Will take your advise and use the "X". There's nobody (as far as I know) that has an aftermarket exhaust within a reasonable distance from me. I'm in Mountain View, Arkansas. Thanks for your thoughts and advise. Will post after the work is done. :)

    GEN II/3rd CAT

Dave, I don't have to worry about the emissions here. I've replaced the two stock mufflers with Smitty's 18" glasspacks (they've been around at least since the fifties) and the exhaust sounds way better than stock, although you can tell by the sound that the exhausts are coupled through the...

    Keypad funky

Interesting problem! It's unique to these types of devices. What happens is that the carbon contact which is beneath each button you push becomes deteriorated and therefore you lose contact to the circuit board that is directly underneath it, the end result being that the function doesn't...

    Sexy Pics

Really looks great! IMOP I do think your pillars would have cleaner lines with the cobra emblems removed. Did ya think about putting them to the rear of the front fenders about midway from the top and bottom? Would really like to see what that hood looks like from inside with a driver's eye view. :)

    Engine temperature variation

I agree with Peter! 3,000 miles maximum is best. You don't have to be a rocket scientist to look at the dipstick after you have just changed your oil (no matter what brand or be it synthetic or not) and then again after 3,000 miles look at it again and see a noticable difference in it. It gets...

Toreado Red- Does yours chip easy too ?

Know how you feel! I've never seen so much junk flying up in the air from cars and trucks. I try to keep plenty of space between my Mark and what's in front of me, especially trucks. At the carwash I manage everybody seems to have the same problem with nicks and chipping. Don't think there's...

    Bill's (bsaco's) bad luck

Another IDIOT strikes! Glad there were no injuries. Most cars are totaled after a hit like that one. Go's to show that the Mark VIII's are pretty tuff toy's. Best of luck with the repair's. :)

Day 8 with the new V111

Bob, I know how you feel! When I get up in the morning the first thing I do is look at my '98 LSC sitting in the carport. I say to myself "What an awesome ride"! I've had it since 2/27/03 and have polished it so many times that I can't count them! It's probably the shiniest car in Stone...

    Expensive oil change.

The link below is an interesting study of oil filters. It gives you quite a bit of detail and pro's and con's of many different brands of oil filters. :) http://www.frankhunt.com/FRANK/corvette/articles/oilfilterstudy/oilfilterstudy.html

    Expensive oil change.

Marcus, Of course, as humans, we all think differently, and as a result, have different opinions. Below are a couple of mine: 1. I'm an old Valvoline user. Been using it since 1958. Had two 1955 Ford stock cars with 312 Y-Block's that were ran to death, but never had one blow up...

    GEN II/3rd CAT

Thank's Ray! That's what I thought! Thought my '98 LSC was supposed to have true dual exhaust. This third CAT sure doesn't make it a true dual exhaust system being that it combines both exhausts. Comments anyone?? :-(

    GEN II/3rd CAT

Hi All! Anybody know if the third cat combines both exhausts or are they completely separate going through it? Thanks in advance! :)
