not really lol.. could it be a throttle sensor ? I drove it this morning, about 7 miles, ran like a champ.. what's the best way to diagnose this problem ??
well it was raining like H*ll yesterday, while I was out.. I had to replace one coil, #3 no pugs, after i replaced the coil, my car was was running fine.. till yesterday.. let me find a post that i was reading here an copy an paste it, an see if this makes sense to you ??
Here it is...
after reading a few post on ETC fail mode, someone said they had a problem with the drain tubes from the sunroof ?? where in the world are those located at ? Also, can a bad coil give out false readings an give you a " etc failer mode" ??
Here i go again.. Had this same problem on my 03 Ls.. now today, while i was out school shopping for my daughter, I had the ETC failer mode come on twice, along with the check engine light.. went by auto zone to check the codes and the is what it's telling me... P2107 Tac module processor...
No i don't have my old coil.. as far as i knew it was bad, that's why i replaced it.. So could you explain what you mean, when you say its probly still good ?
update:
I drove my car to the beach this weekend.. everything seems to be working just fine.. I just wanted to say again, Thank you all for your input, it was very helpful :)
Well my car is all fixed ( cross your fingers it stays that way) this took care of my problem ! I replaced the coil that was coming up on my codes, also I replaced the fuel fliter.. cost me $200.00 with labor an all.. Now my question is, if one coil went bad, is there a good chance the rest...
Thank you Bud, I sure hope this takes care of my problem.. I'll let you know what happens.. Kinda thinking it doesn't cost to much, or else you would have said so lol
good news !!
I have codes .. PO303 cylinder 3 misfire.. the guy at the auto part store said, it's my coil Ignition. That pretty much sums it up for what he knew..
Funny you should say that, i got on a country road an ran it up to about 100 mph, the other day.. Maybe i stop by autozone and have them check the codes for me.. I'd have my uncle do it, but hes on vacation.. I'll keep you posted !
thanks Steve.. So if i had to replace that, how much are we talking ?
the thing that gets me is, the car only has 38k miles on it.. but i guess seeing its a 04, things can get old over time, and need to be replaced..
Thanks to everyone here, I truly appreciate the help !
