    Hello, again

It's been probably 4 years since it went down a track, but if I recall correctly it shifted into 3rd at around 70-75. I do recall once not turning the OD off and it shifting into OD right as I hit the end of the quarter, which was roughly 108-110.

    Hello, again

I have a few questions regarding the board. 1) Should I start some kind of build thread? Where would I put it? 2) I seem to only be able to have 158K of photos or some such allocated to me... how do I get more photos on here?

    Hello, again

It originally had a 390. There was a 428 option that year, although it was really the same FE engine with different heads (as I understand it). The engine that was in the car had been freshly rebuilt, but anyone that knows about FE motors understands that while it would deliver oodles of...

    Hello, again

No, it had 373s with trac lock. 480 horsepower to an open diff = "one-tire fire". :)

    Hello, again

I would put up more pics, but I am a little unfamiliar with the way this board operates, and it looks like I have filled up my quota or something?

    Hello, again

On the off chance that anyone is curious about how the Mark VIII used to run, I this is some video of a 12.5 run, taken both inside and outside the car. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PlICwSrjmIE

    Hello from Joplin, Mo area

I live in Springfield, MO, and not to brag but I have a fairly complete working knowledge of Mark VIIIs... well the first gens anyway. If you ever need any help with anything I am basically just down the road.

    Hello, again

Well I figured I might as well post here in the New User area, even though I am technically not a new user. It's just been years since I have been on here. I sincerely doubt that anyone would remember me. I own a black 94 Mark VIII that I spent some time and money on to get it to perform...

    Mark VIII sequential lights

Whiplash15 it won't let me send you a PM for some reason, so I will respond to yours here in public: ---------- I will keep you in the loop. The 1157s that I am buying are supposed to be "plug and play" replacements for regular automotive 1157 incandescent bulbs. Inside the transparency you...

Find someone near me with a Gen 2 and a willingness to let me experiment and I'll see what I come up with!

    Mark VIII sequential lights

Everyone has a different definition of "ricer" I guess. To me anything where form follows function is good, where when it is appearance over function it moves into Ricer territory. The other day I was at Pep Boy's looking through the goofy stuff they have there, and they actually have fake...

This is NOT my brother's Challenger, but this one looks just like his. This is what a Challenger with the kit in it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U6C_oFfIq1c&NR=1

    Mark VIII sequential lights

Because it should be made functional! :) I couldn't imagine actually breaking a working neon, but it if was beyond salvage already then that's just a big empty space begging to be used that is *supposed* to have lights in it, so I guess that's OK.

True, but that seems a bit harsh.

The Webelectric Products STS-1 kit is exactly the one I used. They seem to be really nice to work with, and the guy shows a genuine interest in what you are using the kit for.

Interestingly enough, the '69 Chrysler Imperial had them too.

    Mark VIII sequential lights

Logres, I think that's a valid question. I would like to state that the reason I did this is because back in the day I used to own a '67 Tbird, and I had two friends that owned '69 Tbirds, and the sequential lights have always held a special place to me. My brother recently got a Challenger...

    Mark VIII sequential lights

Well I had to pull the back lightbar off and basically dremel out the existing socket holes so that I could fit three wire sockets that accept 1157 two-filament bulbs. I would think that shipping that lightbar around would be dicey because it is SO easy to cause it to break right where the...

    Finally ! - 98 LSC Black/Grey

Interestingly enough I bought my Mark VIII in Denver and had it shipped to me in Missouri! :)

    My new project Mark VIII

OK I know I am coming into this post late, but as I was reading your initial post I was thinking there's no WAY I would put up with all that for a car. I had issues getting mine shipped to me but they were minor compared to what you went through. Then I saw the first pics and I thought "Ugh...
