    Heats up at 70+ mph

Thanks guys I plan on buying one once I get paid. I use to be fine on the highway with the same setup. I'm sure the converter is locking which I find weird because I thought more heat would be generated when it's slipping around town. There's also less airflow than when it's locked doing...

    Heats up at 70+ mph

No tranny cooler. But I was under the assumption most of the heat produced by the converter would be when it's slipping during stop and go. In fourth at 70+ it's locked. I thought the heat would be the opposite?

    Heats up at 70+ mph

Hey guys. My coolant system is relatively new but on the drive to work the cars thermostat starts to climb as I go over 70mph. I burped the car yesterday and just went for a test drive but it's still happening. The car runs I believe 2500 rpm @ 75 in forth but I can run the same rpm around 50...

    Vlcm?

Yup, so i never REALLY got it fixed. But... Its rewired now straight to the battery, and has a seperate thermostat in a hose. The fans on high now whenever it comes on, and stays on while the car is at temperature the whole time (highway or not). It works though. :D

No i haven't, the cars stuck 3 hours south I'll have to go back next weekend. Could the clutch slowly disarrange itself over time and need to be re-adjusted?

    Vlcm?

the clutch is not engaging atall. Im pretty sure the clutch itself is fine. Could low freon levels cause it too?

    Vlcm?

ha nope. i feel dumb :o Still stuck though because now i don't know what to change, i have to go back down south and check the fuses  Is there anything else that it could be besides fuses and VLCM?

No F7LF-14B239-AB Edit googling this part number comes up 98 but its date stamped 22 Aug 1996 on the sticker. The stamp on the VLCM that i pulled off my 98 read year 1998?

    Vlcm?

I've been without a car for about a month now trying to figure out what's been wrong with it. I was having problems with the car over heating, it turns out the fan was only working sometimes before it completely died. Found out my A/C clutch was not engaging also, and read the two parts were...

    boiling over

yeah, it happens every once in a while (about every week and a half)... Thats what I've been trying to convey the whole time... I guess i've been miss understood. It over heats drastically after that though, because it basically looses 1.5 gallons of coolant.

    boiling over

There's no coolant in the oil. The heat from the transmission though could cause the coolant to explode out while the car is at normal temp?

    boiling over

could it relate to all the coolant exploding out of the over flow tank after a week or so of driving?

    boiling over

the mechanic that put in the motor is swearing that the radiator is to small and wants to tear it all apart, put in new hoses and the OG radiator. I'm pretty sure this is total B/S though. The car does not over heat until it decides to explode coolant everywhere... And over heats as a result of...
