    Upgraded from my Mark VIII

Yea I'm very impressed with that Coyote engine so far and not just from a pure power perspective. We took a trip from Tennessee to Florida this past week. I averaged 28.1 mpg on the return trip. Not bad for a 400+hp, 3800lb car.

    Upgraded from my Mark VIII

$23,000 with a 3% interest rate... I kept driving by and seeing it for 2 weeks. Stopped by just to look and the next thing I know I'm driving it home.

    Upgraded from my Mark VIII

It rides really well on the highway considering the tires(235/50/18) that are on the car. It's a little rough on uneven surfaces but a lot better than the previous generation mustangs.

    Upgraded from my Mark VIII

Finally got tired of having no a/c and all the issues on my Mark VIII. Picked up this 2012 Mustang GT 5.0 on Wednesday. Just a base model, automatic. But good lord is this thing fast. :D

MUSCLE CAR PEOPLE, Is it just me, or is this deal WAY too good to be true?

thread is old but I feel the need to comment. 5 dudes vs you. The best and safest bet would've been to keep driving. I'm as pro gun of a guy as you'll ever meet but sometimes it's best to just not even risk having to squeeze that trigger.

    SCP COPs?

Rob, I should add that if you're just looking to replace your coils because it's time then I don't see a problem with the S.O.S. coils. They're a lil more expensive than some other after market systems but that's your call. :) Just don't expect any big performance gains.

    SCP COPs?

I don't think this is the place to give vendor reviews. There's a section for that. :)

    SCP COPs?

"Recent testing on a 1997 F-150 with the 5.4 concluded that the SOS Coils reduced 0-60 times by an average of .84 seconds compared to the stock coils." I'm guessing the stock coils were originals that were already on their last leg and had worn out spark plugs too that they replaced...

transmission feels like, maybe a issue

My 95 did the same thing stock. When I first got it... it shifted pretty firm(not tire barking) Then it got to where it didn't want to shift into second and when it did it was HARD or really lazy. Then one day speeding to an emergency it hit 2nd gear and... 2nd gear went bye bye. :frown: Good...

    Paranoid

If I caught someone messing with my car they'd better HOPE the cops get here before I make it outside. I don't keep my tactical shotgun loaded with #00 buckshot for nothin.... I can't stand thieves!! Been a ton of home invasions here lately.. made me nervous enough that I finally broke down and...

    Guy down the road...

Yea I was tempted to stop and offer $500... but he doesn't care for me very much. LOL The car had a tarp over the back half and now the tarp is gone and it's been sitting there just collecting rain water.

    Guy down the road...

The guy down the road from me has a MarkVIII and his brother has a LS(V6 :lolgrin003: ). When I first moved here they both always drove by gunnin their engines, revvin it up, doin burnouts in front of my house etc. Then one day (on a closed highway in Mexico) I found this poor lil stock Mark...

    Kooks header failure

But were they effective? I've seen "custom" headers on several cars and some looked and performed great and some that we put on the dyno didn't improve over the stock manifolds and some still that lost power over stock manifolds. Those were mostly teenagers though who just thought headers were...

    Kooks header failure

I think this goes back to what I've said several times. Every company no matter who it is... will turn out a few lemons. Maybe they had a bad employee, poor metal sent to them etc. Humans make errors. I don't see condemning the whole company because of a few that went wrong. If I did that I'd of...

    Kooks header failure

Don't hold your breath. I've heard from so many people/companies that say they've got a MarkVIII part in "planning" that I've lost count. Honestly I don't know how they're gonna get a long tube to clear but hey if he can do it then awesome. As far as the KOOKS go.... every company can and will...

    97 LSC oil pan

There's not any aftermarket hoods for the Gen2. I guess if hood clearance is an issue you'll have to cut up a stock hood and graft on a scoop, cowl etc. or drive around without a hood. :p
