Questions about oil cooler adapter gasket

I agree also to wait until needed. If you change your own oil and are careful putting filter in and out, it should last. The min wage quick lube guys that don't look up how to install and force it in and out shorten the life on it and the PS line seals.

    stuck oil filter

Well started getting an oil leak, housing gasket I suspect, leaked when cold, but not when warmer and I pulled in the garage. Anyways, started drain cooling, went to pull filter and it was pretty beat up. The dealer had it changed. Would not budge with cap wrench, strap wrench, squeeze...

    Steering Repair

If You don't have air ride, you can use t-bird Upper control arms and save about $20 a piece (no height sensor bracket). If they don't know, you can get to UCA nut by master cylinder through wheel well (remove liner).

FS: 1994 Mark VIII white base $1999

this vehicle is in Vinita OK, at Bob Hart Chev, looked pretty good online (CL, autotrader, etc), but it is rough. Just FYI before anyone made a trip. Biggest concern driver door bent on bottom (wind noise driving) and under body in front of driver rear wheel. Several other spots, but those...

    no more chrome comb-modified grill

LOL, sorry, try to be brief, maybe over did it. I took the stock grill, removed all the vertical teeth. Then set a gallon paint can at end as mold for bondo to create 'oval' frame, in the Ford/Cobra tradition and attached metal grill mesh to back. I put a photo on the facebook page. It...

    NO SOUND from radio

I had 93 do that, stopped without warning while I was test driving, helped me get the price down. Tried a different head unit, still notta. Just put an aftermarket head and rewired direct to rear speakers. Ended up selling before I did a total rewire. Probably not what you want to hear, but...

buzz at start up, Amp bypass, air pump runs when car off

ahh. Found some other info says the amp bypass does not work on our amps. If anyone's found anything new, please advise. Otherwise, will probably be a rewire at some point. Sometimes we spend more time and money trying to do it the 'easy way':)

buzz at start up, Amp bypass, air pump runs when car off

I'd posted earlier about a buzz at start up. Pretty sure it was the cell phone, unplugged box back by amp and seems to have stopped. Was messing with stereo, key out and the air pump kicked on for a couple seconds. Thought this would only run when car started. Tried an amp bypass by scosche...

I gotta buz, but want to lose it

I think I found the cause of the buzzing. You do so much to car when you first get it, hard to think what might be contributing. I'd pulled the cell phone from the console, believe it was online for a bit then hung up. Unplugged the phone box by amp and seems to have quit. Hope this helps...

converted to duals-no drone at hwy speed

I had a 95 with a higher ratio rear end, not sure what it was, it ran about 2300 rpm at 70. It had a magnaflow dual in/out in place of 3rd converter then straight pipes back. Was too loud or droned at hwy speed. Just put a heartthrob dual in/out w straight pipes on my 94, but this car is base...

    no more chrome comb-modified grill

modified my grill by cutting out the teeth, bondo around a paint can on sides, attaching grill to back. Ok from 10 ft back. Will look for another frame to try again now I have a better idea what I'm doing. Twice the bondo, 10 x the sanding of someone w experience, oh well:)

    suspension conversion

I used t-bird springs. For the top mount I used a large fram oil filter wrench, fits snug in the rubber isolator. I mounted it with a bolt through it and nut in space above frame, you have to get a wrench in a narrow space on top of the mount, but it wasn't that bad. I put a piece of sch 40...

I gotta buz, but want to lose it

Got the fuel pump in, started it, buzzing again. I was thinking maybe just due for a tune-up. Looking through receipts that came with car, saw owner phone number, called. He said it was the alternator, if it goes without being driven a while the battery gets low and alternator really works at...

I gotta buz, but want to lose it

Well this morning it didn't do it. I took off early to get my exhaust done. Then when it was time to pull into the bay, it wouldn't start. Fuel pump. Waiting on part, guess we'll see if that was it or unrelated. I had recently changed my attenna, and rear shocks and mounts. On the plus...

I gotta buz, but want to lose it

Yes, I have the premium JBL, it just started, it doesn't do it unless engine is running, so it's somehow related to charging system I would think. Does it at first start with or without stereo on. Stereo plays okay in acc or on, without engine running. The buzz stops in less than a minute...

I gotta buz, but want to lose it

When I start my 94 up, there's an static hum, that whines with motor speed. Not to age myself, but my cars in the 70s with amps used to do that when it was do for a tune-up and they came out with resistor plugs and wires :) This is like that, but it stops after about a minute. Stereo can on...
