One of my engineering professors designed the torsion bar "spring" on the trunk of this model Mark.

That's a cool little bit of history..

It reminds me of a young engineer I met at the "Mustang Memories" show a couple years ago. Everyone was gathered around the v8 mustang, he was hanging by the 4 cylinder one. I got to talking with him and he proudly proclaimed that he had designed the grille shutters used on that car. Not a part most people would think much about, or possibly even see, but he'd clearly poured his life into it, and was proud of his work.
