Another post specifically for Glen.........see the arrows Glen? Ya, those black ones? Yep, those right there....lol.

REMOVAL

NOTE: LH side shown, RH side similar.

Disconnect the battery ground cable.

Remove the window switch plate.


Disconnect the electrical connectors.


Open the screw covers. CAUTION: Use care not to damage the trim panel covers.


Remove the screws and the assist handle.


Remove screws and the front door trim.


Disconnect the electrical connectors.

hi everyone i have a 2003 towncar this is a very nice help but my problem is there are pockets in my doors so where are the lower screws at? also how and where do you pray the pull strap covers at dont want to break or damage them thanks you very much

Let me look to see about the pocket, if you do have a pocket I'd assumed there are no lower screws, instead you'd take everything else apart and get a "feel" for the panel to see if it's loose.

As far as the strap covers, the arrows are pointing to the top and bottom on the picture above, my best advise is to use a flat head screwdriver (really small one) and put painters tape on the end of it to prevent scratching. Also push your finger against the door panel to make a gap behind the cover to put the screwdriver in.
