A little snow, no problem HA

A little snow, so I took my PU to send off the last set of headlights, 6 mile trip. Get home and Power steering growling. Bone dry. Seems like it has a leak. 24654 miles shouldn't. I know what I'll be laying under in the AM. The 95 had a minor leak, and is on the round to it list. Kinda didn't leak for a week, fixed itself, like a Lincoln should. I hate Chevys.

Every time I fix something on my truck I find two more items that are needing attention. Changed all 4 rotors & pad sets to discover my rear axle leaking and the front end a little too loose for comfort.

I'll be doing hubs/shocks/tie rods once we get a little warmer weather. The rear axle will be interesting, I doubt all my diff cover bolts are going to come out, without changing shape first.

I always thought 20K miles their just broke in, not just broke. The snow juice they spray on the roads ate my rear 1 ton rotors so deep they couldn't be turned. I pulled a brush plate off, and there's oil all over, I think a pressure line. 21 degrees tomorrow Oh Boy. STINKING CHEVY

20k miles shouldn't even be broken it yet, no matter the environment. I had the plastic cowl on my Grand Marquis warp at 16,000 miles and vibrated when combined wind speed and car speed was 90 mph, got it fixed, and otherwise the next 280,000 miles were fairly uneventful. At 309,000 miles it is starting to break down.

which is why I bought another Panther.
Longevity.

The Chevy truck line sure keeps us busy at the shop. although, some of them seem to be an anomaly...my 05 2500HD 2wd with a 6.0 had 112k on it and the only thing it ever needed was the extending side view mirror motor broken. It would go out, but not come back in. It was an amazing truck. Bought it for $11k at a dealer...drove it for 2 years and traded it in for $12k at another dealer....THAT'S RARE.
