Adding a remote start?

What's a good way to add a remote start to these cars, my car might just be special but none of the shops can find a way around the anti theft

The "easy" way is to tape a spare key under the dashboard.

You used to be able to buy a module that would mount near/around the ignition that would "emulate" the keyfob's signature, but I haven't seen one of those for a while.

For what it's worth, I don't really recommend remote starts. They usually require some pretty invasive wiring, and (as you see here,) the bypassing of basically every anti-theft feature the car has.

Problem is my ignition cylinder requires pressure to be able to read keys, otherwise it just goes crazy and wont read or start

That's right.. Is it pressure? Or is it that it needs the key to be that extra 2mm closer in order for the car to read it correctly?

A fun way to test might be to have a hardware store make you a copy that doesn't have the chip. That should be super cheap, if they'll do it. Then hold your "good" key in various places as you try to start the car. see what happens.

Its the pressure lol ive tested it with a spare that i have for the trunk and it for sure wont start unless i have good pressure behind the key and the chipped one near it
