I actually worked for Masland back when they made the carpets for Ford and the Mark VIII. I toured the Carlisle plant before I ever thought of owning a Mark VIII or heard of Carlisle. It is a huge site.

I actually tested different carpets in the Mark VIII for noise, back in the day, when they were new. Here's a photo of me with a test Mark VIII, The VP had a cranberry with black interior that we used to test. He used to let us take it home when he wanted to drive a different test vehicle for the weekend.

I do not think too many people are going to buy these for 1-2 shows a year. Whould they be something a club like LOD could rent for a weekend? That would be awesome. I am sure not cheap.....but awesome!

I wouldn't doubt they would sell. Not sure how many would be for rent as a time share or something like that but it would be awesome!

We should keep an eye on this. They built some of these in Chicago. If they build this before next Carlisle I am sure there will be people who are not moved in and willing to rent for a weekend. If they have showers we can just sleep there.
