"Best bet's a true baby blue Continental..."

Hello! I am joining this forum hoping to get some help with my new car. I traded my old pickup for a beautiful, 1976 Lincoln Continental. It is about the prettiest, classiest car I have ever seen. As much as I love it, I really got it as an investment and I need to find out what it's worth. I can't find any other cars like it! It is NOT a Mark IV and it is only a two-door. It has a full cloth top and white leather seats. It has this amazing trim...it's a baby blue piece of patterned molding with chrome above and below it.

Like I said...it's a beautiful car! Really great shape. Needs the driver's seat upholstered and the dash has some cracks in it...not too bad though. Original 8 track sound system (sounds awesome!).

Does this car sound familiar to anyone? I was thinking it might be a special edition, but I haven't found any others out there. It might just be a custom job.

Thanks for listening! I have really enjoyed reading the posts from this site!

Welcome! :)

Would really like to see pics of the car. It sounds awesome!

You may want to look in Hemmings.com for a likeness. I really like the early to mid 70s Lincolns.

Welcome! That sounds like a beautiful car. I've always been attracted to that generation of Lincoln. They definitely had "presence."

Like Lvnmarks, my go-to trick is to search on ebay and hit the "show completed listings" checkbox from the column on the left. It will show you all of the finished auctions, color-coded red or green depending on whether or not the item sold. It is a very useful tool for assessing the "street value" of something.

My family has owned 2 Continentals from that generation. Just like Tixer, I've always loved them. In fact, my first car was a 77 Continental Town Car. Back then, a Town Car was a trim line, but most of them were all labeled Continental Town Car from what I've seen. They were both available in a 4 door and coupe configurations. I actually have a copy of the 1977 Lincoln Continental dealer brochure. Mine was the silver on silver combination. Your color combination is quite nice, but I don't think it's a custom job. Would love to see pictures.

Here are some pics for you of the brochure.

They were/are! They were actually called "Twin Comfort Lounge Seats" in the brochure. That's the true definition of a couch on wheels.
