Big swaybar

I forgot to mention this but the last time we did the fuel pump we put the swaybar i got on the car, its the biggest one from SCP which i think is 1 3/8in. The stock one is about as thick as a pencil and you can balance it on one finger, the new alot thicker and about 20lbs heavier but keeps the car flat during every turn. Didnt do the front one but i havent experienced any extra oversteer from not doing it.

yeah, big rear bar will help slide the rear end.
i did rear first, and it was definitely more tail happy.
with both its pretty neutral.

1-1/4 is as large as I opted for after reading how easy the bigger bar induces over steer. steering with your right foot is fun when done on purpose, but not when counter-steering in the rain.

Be careful

So any preference then on whether to go with the 1 1/8" or 1 1/4"? I currently don't plan on upgrading the front bar and I'm still getting a feel for the car with the new 18" wheels on it.

I can't comment on the 1 1/8," but I got the 1 1/4" on the green car, and loved it.

Be prepared to go with the Energy Suspension brackets, or to add the spacers to the factory ones, as explained in another thread here. You will break the brackets, otherwise..

Depends on if you have a Gen 1 or 2. Im on 2 and Im not getting any more oversteer and the cars flat at all times, going over a bump at high speeds it does feel like the whole rear end lifts sometimes though

my opinion, 1 1/8 since your leaving the front bar.

get the ES brackets, much nicer pieces.

if you push it, like actually push it, it will oversteer a lot more than stock. i promise.

Thanks Mike! I might also have a spare T-Bird SC bar I can throw in there for the time being :)

Yeah, I remember Doug's write-up on that and was prepared to do that mod when I did the bar.

I also have a 1 1/8" Addco rear with ES brackets and Bilsteins. She's sticky and flat through the corners. HATED the front and must have run it for 15 minutes. It felt like a 1998 Eldo. Lol. With the car sensor lowered just a little, it is definitely stiffer but not terribly so. Went up to 255/45/18 and it seems like a happy medium.
