If you have any thoughts of buying this unit don't do it the unit doesn't fit in a Mark VIII . I got the shaft on this one and would hate to see anyone else have the same problems I do.

Odd, other than it is pretty difficult to find a 28 spline trac-loc anymore, only 31 spline ones are produced anymore.

So you had an issue with a different type of locker, and then a trac-loc?

No just the one depicted above I am buying a Detroit True Trac that was recommended to me by a very good source.

That "Ford Trac-Lok" is not the one that I know.

It must be a different design and part number than the one I am accustomed to? I don't have the part number for mine as I bought it used years ago.

Randy's Ring and Pinion can set you up. Every rear diff. I've needed parts for came from them through our shop. Although I have yet to build a 8.8 for IRS, the 8.8 out of a 06 Mustang needed a rebuild, and we got the kit from them, and it was perfect, cheap, YUKON parts, and delivered the next day.

Just a thought.
