Mornin men!!

My problem is with my factory cd changer in the trunk.
When I go over hard bumps it stops playing and wont start playing again untill I go in the trunck and pop the cd out and reload it.
It works fine until I hit the next bump. Sucks!!
It does not skip just quits and says no cd.. Help!!
Some one told me a bad micro switch?

With "LOD" Since 1997
I had this problem fixed 3 times under warranty, I can't say what they fixed because they send it out. If it happens again I will get a different unit other then the Sony. The Sony's 10 disk changer has this problem a lot.

Thats how mine started out. It eventually died. I'm in the search for something to replace it. Right now I'm stuck with tapes and the radio. :(

I think mine is a pioneer unit.. 96 mark lsc,jbl speakers.
I have not had it in for repair yet, a couple of people said its better than in dash units and it's worth fixing.
About one hundred to fix. I have had it out and cleaned it with the compressed air in a can. No luck.

Thanks for the response!

There Sony units. However if you take it to get fixed they'll just send them off. Then they'll be sent back and they'll say sorry, we can 't fix it. Even though it was manufactured by Sony its not quite the same since it was distributed by Ford. *shrugs* Don't know what to tell you.

Steve, Jay and Paul,
I pulled the unit out of the trunk and it is a 10 disk Sony.
I would like to keep it original? If I can, but not at a lot of expense. Like I said earlier it hasen't been repaire yet as far as I know.
A guy at car tunes said it was worth the repair.
A good source at best buy said they would send it out and tune it up for 100 bucks. H'mm have to think about this.

Thanks all of you for your responses.
